Our Senior Center
Opened in April 2005, the Guerin Woods Senior Center is at the heart of our neighborhood, welcoming Guerin Woods residents and anyone aged 55 and older. It serves as a vibrant gathering place for both old and new friendships to flourish.
The Center boasts a spacious meeting area, a recreation space, a kitchen, a lending library, and a community garden with a greenhouse and raised beds. Its monthly calendar is packed with diverse activities aimed at entertaining and engaging participants of all interests.
Games are a central part of social interaction at the Senior Center, with popular weekly events such as bunco, euchre, and other card games.
The Center hosts a variety of events from Monday lunches, coffee chats, to potluck lunches. It also becomes a hub of celebration during holidays and special occasions, such as Oaks Day parties, Mother’s Day teas, and other festive events.
